v1.11.0
Beta build for Apple Silicon Macs (M1/M2/M3/M4), macOS 13+, Logic Pro.
The synth you know as MURMUR is now Phosphor. MURMUR is the company that makes it, along with Undertow, Cast, Coriolis and the rest of the line. Same synth, same eight engines, same sounds.
Install
- Open Tidepool and sign in. It updates Phosphor for you. New here? Download Tidepool from murmurmusic.ai.
- Quit Logic completely, reopen.
- In Logic, Phosphor is under AU Instruments → Murmur → Phosphor.
What changes
- The name. Logic and other hosts list the synth as Phosphor, and the plugin face, the standalone window and the installer say Phosphor.
- Nothing else. Your projects open with Phosphor in place of MURMUR, with every sound and setting as you left it. Your presets, favourites and Imagine results stay where they were.
What still says MURMUR
So existing installs, projects and Tidepool keep working, a few things keep the old name:
- The plugin files on disk:
MURMUR.component,MURMUR.vst3andMURMUR.app. - The support folder:
~/Library/Application Support/MURMUR/, where your presets live. - The installer file names:
MURMUR-1.11.0-macOS-arm64.pkg.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Logic still lists MURMUR | Logic → Settings → Plug-in Manager → Reset & Rescan Selection, then reopen Logic |
| A project can't find the synth | Reinstall Phosphor from Tidepool and rescan. Don't rename MURMUR.component yourself |
| Logic says "incompatible" | Delete the old MURMUR.component, reinstall Phosphor from Tidepool, rescan |
