v1.15.0
Beta build for Apple Silicon Macs (M1/M2/M3/M4), macOS 13+, Logic Pro.
Phosphor on Ben's brain coral, a PLAY screen to play, saving your own presets, and a face that opens at once.
Install
- Open Tidepool and sign in. It updates Phosphor for you. New here? Download Tidepool from murmurmusic.ai.
- Quit Logic completely, reopen.
What changes
- The coral PLAY screen. PLAY opens on a simple screen in Breach's spirit: the preset, IMAGINE, the sound as light across the middle, and seven of Ben's Sway knobs (CUTOFF, the four macros, SPACE, VOLUME). The PLAY | PANEL pill slides the full panel in beside it; the PLAY tab slides it back. It is on, and needs the panel switch on.
- Every screen on the coral. With the panel switch on, PANEL, PATCH, LAB and BROWSE wear Ben's brain coral field (the VCV panels' colours), his Sway knob in every knob's place, polyp jacks, Exemplar titles and Breach's grain.
- The Caustic Scope. The sound under water, drawn on the GPU, across the middle of the coral PLAY screen and in the SCOPE window. WAVE, STEREO and RING. On by default.
- Save your presets. SAVE (or Cmd+S) on the coral PLAY screen names the patch and keeps it in your presets, under MINE.
- A patch browser on PLAY. Click the preset name: search, ALL, FAVOURITES, MINE and FACTORY, a star to keep one, click to hear it.
- Your presets show up. Presets you saved, synced from your account or kept from IMAGINE now appear in every browser. Before, the folder they live in was never searched.
- Opens at once. The face no longer waits on reading every preset before it appears. The presets load in the background while you play.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Logic still shows the old version | Logic → Settings → Plug-in Manager → Reset & Rescan Selection, then reopen Logic |
| PLAY looks the same as before | The panel switch is off. Turn it on, wait for the plugin to check in with Tidepool (a few minutes), then quit and reopen Logic |
| The middle of PLAY has no light | The Mac's graphics couldn't start the scope; the coral PLAY screen draws its own strands instead |
| The browser is empty for a few seconds | The presets are still loading in the background the first time after Logic opens |
