v1.8.10

Beta build for Apple Silicon Macs (M1/M2/M3/M4), macOS 13+, Logic Pro.

A stability update to 1.8.9. Big pad presets such as Abyssal Orbit now use much less CPU, and MURMUR keeps playing instead of overloading when a patch asks for more than your Mac can render.

Install

  1. Open Tidepool and sign in. It installs MURMUR and licenses it for you, so there is no key to paste.
  2. Or download MURMUR-1.8.10-macOS-arm64.pkg from GitHub Releases and double-click it.
  3. Quit Logic completely, reopen.
  4. Settings → Plug-in Manager → Reset & Rescan Selection.
  5. Software Instrument track → AU Instruments → Murmur → MURMUR.

What's new since 1.8.9

  • Lighter voices. Pads with lots of modulation, like the 24-voice Interstellar and Spatial presets, render about 1.6x faster. The sound is identical.
  • Overload guard. If your Mac can't keep up, MURMUR fades out the oldest release tails and lets new notes reuse voices instead of stuttering. Notes you're holding are never cut, and full polyphony comes back as soon as there's headroom. Bounces always render every voice.

Troubleshooting
