v1.8.2
Customer-ready build for Apple Silicon Macs (M1/M2/M3/M4/M2 Ultra), macOS 13+, Logic Pro.
This release fixes Relic patches sounding detuned, corrects the factory Relic pack's root pitches, stops Relic presets clipping, and restores unison modulation in patches saved before 1.8.0.

What's fixed since 1.8.1
- Relic no longer sounds detuned. Relic's sample layer drifted up to ~12 cents sharp during sustain, and played ~147 cents flat on 44.1 kHz sessions (it ignored the host sample rate), so it beat against its own in-tune harmonic layer. Both are fixed.
- Factory Relics play the right note. The 1.8.1 pack set every root to the MIDI note sent to the synth, but many patches were transposed, so keys played an octave or semitones off. 47 assets now use their measured pitch.
- Broken factory Relics removed. 25 assets that were click tracks over silence or steady 3–13 kHz whines are gone (118 → 93). The 11 pad presets that used them now use verified assets, and the two pluck presets with no replacement (Relic Pluck Lead, Relic Harp Pluck) are removed.
- Relic bass presets are basses. Relic Sub, Rubber Bass, Analog Bass and Round Sub pointed at mis-captured assets that were really ~620 Hz–1.3 kHz tones; they now use real bass captures.
- Relic presets no longer clip. They had no master limiter, so dense chords peaked up to ~+5.7 dBFS. They now use the same −0.8 dB limiter as every other factory preset. Pads sound the same loudness; plucks are about 2 dB quieter.
- Unison modulation in older patches works again. Since 1.8.0, patches saved earlier that modulate Unison Voices / Detune / Spread were loading those routes onto Relic parameters instead. They load correctly again, and patches are now saved as format v4 so this cannot recur.
- Non-Relic patches sound exactly as they did before 1.8.0. Adding Relic had shifted every patch's per-voice random seeds, subtly changing phases, noise and LFOs everywhere.
Honest gaps (not in this cut)
- 34 factory Relics still have an unverified root — see
hardware-lab/harvester/ops/RELIC_LISTENING_PASS.md. Presets using them: 13 Supersaw Pad, 19 Midnight Pad, 20 Pearl Pad, 22 Nylon Pluck, 24 Muted Pluck, 32 Growl Bass, and the piano/organ stand-ins (34, 36, 39) may be off by up to a semitone. - Piano and Waterfall organ are still analog stand-ins until the Electra / Ravel / Waterfall recapture.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Logic says "incompatible" | Delete old MURMUR.component, reinstall 1.8.2 pkg, rescan |
| A saved project's Relic Pluck Lead / Harp Pluck is silent | Those presets were removed; pick another Relic pluck |
| Relic picker shows NO RELIC | Load a factory Relic preset, or LOAD .RELIC from Relic Lab |
| Blank plugin window | Reinstall pkg; try Standalone first |
