Heirloom is a new set of sounds and controls in its own lab: classic filter models, a plucked and bowed String engine, a phaser and a flanger, operator unison and twelve Heirloom presets to start from. Undertow 0.7.0 ships with it.

Install

1. Open Tidepool and sign in. It installs MURMUR and licenses it for you, so there is no key to paste.
2. Or download MURMUR-1.9.0-macOS-arm64.pkg from GitHub Releases and double-click it.
3. Quit Logic completely, reopen.
4. Settings → Plug-in Manager → Reset & Rescan Selection.
5. Software Instrument track → AU Instruments → Murmur → MURMUR.

What's new since 1.8.11

• HEIRLOOM lab. LAB → HEIRLOOM. Filter 1 gains new models and modes, including a saturating filter, EQ shapes and a diode ladder. Filter 2 picks a model (Classic, Ladder, Korg35, Comb, Bass, Diode) with its own shaper and feedback, and a FILTER 2 PEAK readout shows where it actually rings. Any FX slot can be a phaser or a flanger.
• STRING engine. HEIRLOOM → STRING turns any oscillator into a modelled string: plucked, bowed or blown, with drive, pick position, decay, brightness and stiffness.
• Fuller oscillators. Operator unison, analog drift and cleaner hard sync.
• Heirloom presets. Twelve new presets in the Heirloom category.
• Lighter on the CPU. The reverb costs about half what it did, and the voice path does less work per sample.
• Smoother modulation. Chorus and comb delays glide instead of stepping, and High and Ultra quality resample more cleanly.
• Imagine. Describe-a-sound is now called Imagine.

Undertow 0.7.0

• PLUCK EXT. The EXT key on the PLUCK strip opens pick position, velocity brightness and high-frequency decay. On that page the PINK key becomes STIFF, a stiffer, more piano-like string.
• The Karplus-Strong pluck stays in tune across the keyboard.
